On the one hand, the hospitality numbers here are still not pretty: for the week ending Oct. 23, the San Francisco area market had an occupancy rate of 53%, tied with Oahu for the worst same-week decline from 2019 (down 39.7 points) and a clean 9 points in front of Washington D.C. for the nation-worst drop in revenue per available room (RevPAR) — 58.9%, to $92.26, all according to STR.
