The flurry of hotel developments in SoMa is about to get another boost of activity with a new proposal to transform a parking lot into 239 rooms, a restaurant, and ground-floor retail.
London-based developer Ennismore has brought on Handel Architects for its plan to build an eight-story hotel at 424 Brannan St., according to a preliminary project assessment filed with the city.
The developer is looking to entitle a property that has long caught the attention of residential, office and other commercial developers. If approved, the project would include 5,099 square feet of open space available to the public, more than 6,900 square feet of retail, as well as approximately 4,421 square feet of restaurant space.
